Welcome

On Monday October 10^th took place the solemn opening for the new academic year at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.  Many students, professors, benefactors and friends were present at the Eucharistic celebration presided by Bishop Javier Echevarría, Great Chancellor of our University.  During the homily, the prelate of Opus Dei invited all to trust the Holy Spirit the work of the academic year for 2011-12 school year. 

The 2011 Tevelec Charity Golf Classic in support of the Santa Croce Foundation was held onMonday, September 19th at Glen Eagle Golf Club in Bolton, Ontario.  We had a great time even though mother nature decided that it needed to water the earth.  We decided to shorten the play to 9 holes and then enjoyed the warmth of the clubhouse.  

Unfortunately nobody was able to score a hole-in-one for the beautiful Chevrolet Camaro Convertible, but we all had fun trying!

Father Anthony Griffin gave us a first hand glimse of what living and studying at Santa Croce University is like.

Our winners gratefully accepted their trophies and will have their names inscribed on the Tevelec Charity Golf Classic trophy.  Mike Short, Robert Sanders, John Mullins, and Michael Currie came out on top and a hearty congratulations goes out to them.

 Four priests, seven seminarians and a layman from four continents are the newest recipients of bursaries for study at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome.
